Work with me

Consulting

  1. Consultation

    Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation consult via online video conference. You can do that right here.

    You may choose to fill some details about your requirements in advance, so both of us can make better use of our time at the conference.

  2. Proposal

    After the consultation, if we find that we are a good fit, I will prepare and send you a proposal. It will contain technical details about the project, time estimates and price.

    If you decide not to work with me or if we are not a perfect fit, I'm happy to share other resources to help you get what you need.

  3. Start

    Once an agreement is reached on the proposal, the project will be initiated. You will receive instructions about how to access any resources that are to be shared (code repositories, documentation, chat rooms, etc.) and invitations to future meetings, if necessary.

    Check the about my work section for details on how we will communicate and work together.

About how I work

Workflow

Your client agreement will contain details about how the work will be executed, reported and accounted for.

There will be a schedule for reports, discussions and reviews, tailored to your needs.

Communication

Along with your client agreement you will receive links to the tools we will use to communicate with each other. You can use all or only the ones you prefer.

If you have suggestions, bring it forward and I'll do my best to adapt to your needs.

Among these links you will receive:

  • A link to a chat room where we can exchange messages either live or asynchronously;
  • A link to a Matrix server for live video conferences;
  • Depending on your needs, access to a GitHub repository where you can follow my pull requests and commits;
  • Access to a Supawiki account, where the project will be documented;
  • A link to my calendar to book meetings;
  • My email address.

Periodically, according to your type of project, you will receive updates of my progress, which will include information on any road blocks, challenges or opportunities that may appear.

If I am not online and immediately available, I will answer to any contact made through these channels at most in a matter of hours.
